SVP, Actuarial

Zachary Luety serves as SVP of Actuarial at Open Lending in Austin, Texas, where he has worked since 2022. With over a decade of actuarial experience, Zachary specializes in insured credit risk products and leveraging advanced analytics to help lenders responsibly grow their portfolios. He leads the actuarial and data science team responsible for integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning to price credit risk and inform risk management strategy. 

Prior to his current role, Zachary was an Actuarial Consultant at GPW Actuarial Services in Phoenix, Arizona, where he managed a variety of pricing and reserving engagements across the insurance sector.  

Committed to furthering actuarial education, Zachary has presented at various actuarial conferences, worked with actuarial students at Arizona State University and the University of Texas at Austin, and served as a lecturer for data science courses at ASU. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 2014 with dual BS degrees in Mathematics and Physiology and earned his FCAS designation in May 2021. 

Outside of work, Zachary enjoys spending time with his wife and three dogs, traveling, and staying active.
