Sarah Lackey

VP, Technology Projects

Sarah is the Vice President of Technology Projects with over 15 years of experience in IT Leadership, Infrastructure, and Systems Design with proven expertise in Software Engineering and Business Operations.

As the Vice President of Technology Projects, Sarah is the scrum master of the Lenders Protection team and project management office lead. She is responsible for the company’s software releases and quality, building processes to efficiently streamline company-wide initiatives, and technology and security compliance. During her time with the company, she has developed processes that have streamlined operations in support of the SOC 2 Type 2 audits, managed test plan development and software releases, created workflows and performed other business analyst duties to support the team’s backlog, and developed a fully-staffed quality assurance department with a new test automation framework. Sarah also created best practices and rebuilt relationships as a LOS technical liaison which has helped streamline implementations with multiple business partners. Sarah is instrumental in technology processes, development operations, generating internal and external analytics for all teams to maximize performance, and new team member development.

 

Prior to joining the team, Sarah spent 14 years with Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Scrum of Scrums Master, System Software Engineer, Project Manager and Program Manager. There, she program-managed system-level quality assurance teams for enterprise system software and firmware.

 

Sarah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Outside of Open Lending, she is a Vice President and Co-Owner of SJB Industries INC, a commercial painting company. Sarah’s personal interests include entrepreneurial endeavors, camping, fishing, spending time with her family and volunteering at Dripping Springs UMC Children’s Program. Sarah resides in Dripping Springs, TX with her husband and son.
