Richard (Sandy) F. Watkins ‑ Presently Chairman and Founder of Open Lending, Inc. and member of the Board of Directors of Lenders Protection, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Open Lending, Inc. Previously, Mr. Watkins co-founded Advanced Resource Computer Systems, Inc. (also known as ARC Systems) in August of 1997, an Austin based technology company, specializing in automated underwriting systems for the mortgage industry. Earlier in his career, Mr. Watkins was employed with Goldman, Sachs & Co. and subsequently directed U.S. investments for foreign investors for five years. Mr. Watkins is a 1971 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and was awarded a Masters in Business and Business Administration in finance by the University of Texas at Austin in 1975. Mr. Watkins is also a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.
John Flynn – President/Chief Executive Officer of Open Lending, Inc. and Lenders Protection, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Open Lending, Inc. John joined Open Lending in April 2000, having just left the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Good2cu.com. He previously served as Director of Marketing at The Equitable and was responsible for the development and implementation of the firm’s national marketing program to the credit union industry. Mr. Flynn brings a unique perspective as he served for 12 years as Chief Executive Officer at Washington Gas Light Federal Credit Union in Springfield, VA. His varied background includes extensive experience in marketing and sales management and as a co-founder of Objective Advisors, Inc., a registered Investment Advisory firm dedicated to providing objective financial management services to credit unions and banks throughout the country. Mr. Flynn received his BA in accounting from Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA.
Ross Jessup, - Ross joined Open Lending in September, 2000 and serves as Chief Financial and Operations Officer and Director of Open Lending, Inc. as well as wholly owned subsidiaries Lenders Protection and insurance captive Lenders Assurance, Inc. and Oxford Reinsurance, Ltd. Ross oversees the financial and operational aspects of the business and works closely with outside actuaries, investors and insurance partners. Additionally, he helps supports national account sales and customer support functions. Previously, he worked in the public accounting area with both national firms (Arthur Andersen) and regional firms primarily specializing in .transactional matters. including mergers, acquisitions, taxation, and financing transactions. He also is a general partner of various investment funds that provide early stage capital to technology related companies. Ross received a BA in Accounting from The University of Mississippi in 1985. He is a member of the AICPA, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Young Entrepreneurs Organization.
Steve Martin, - Vice President of Insurance Services at Open Lending, Inc. Steve is a former Vice President and product manager for CUNA Mutual Group. While at CUNA Mutual, Steve spent many years as a senior actuarial officer and 20 years as the product manager for some of their major businesses, including Credit Insurance and Employee Benefits. In 2003, he became product manager for Lenders Protection where he remained in that role until his retirement in 2008.
Jack Jordan, - Vice President of Lending Services at Open Lending, Inc. Jack recently served as Vice President of Product Development for Teres Solutions, Inc. and as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Lending at Velocity Credit Union in Austin, Texas. During his time at Teres Solutions, Jack directed product management, development and quality assurance functions for a loan origination platform used by over 200 financial institutions in the United States. Jack spearheaded major improvements in products that contributed to substantial revenue and customer growth in the company. While Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Lending at Velocity Credit Union, he managed all operational areas of a $500 million financial institution, including an automotive lending subsidiary that generated over $5 million in new revenues in a 3 year period. Jack received his B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979.
